The Shimano 24 Talica 2 Speed Overhead Reel is the next evolution of Shimano’s flagship big game lever drag series, designed for anglers chasing tuna, marlin, kingfish, and other hard-fighting predators. Compact yet powerful, the Talica combines high-speed line pickup with unstoppable cranking strength, making it one of the most versatile overhead reels for offshore sportfishing.
At its core is a one-piece cold forged and machined aluminium frame with advanced corrosion protection, delivering lightweight strength and long-term durability. The cold forged aluminium spool ensures smooth line flow, while Shimano’s waterproof Cross Carbon Drag System provides consistent stopping power under extreme pressure. Six S A-RB bearings (seven in the 12 and 16 sizes) ensure silky operation, with shields on both sides to protect against salt and sand intrusion.
Featuring Shimano’s HEG (High Efficiency Gearing), the Talica delivers incredible cranking torque across both high and low speeds, transforming angler effort directly into fish-stopping power.
